Winning Gold and a Lesson Learned (read: CONFIRMED) ⤵
You are NEVER too old! NEVER! At 55 years old, I won my 2nd gold medal at the North American Grappling Association’s (NAGA) Battle at the Beach in Wildwood NJ.
Here’s a couple of other lessons learned:
1. Always…ALWAYS listen to your instructor and coaches. NOTE: Find a great instructor and great coaches. Visit www.McHughBJJ.com
2. Be part of a GREAT TEAM. #TeamMcHugh #TeamDinoto
3. SAVOR, HAVE FUN and LEARN from the experience
I want to thank my two competitors, Alexey (51) and Paul (43) for being courageous warriors. It was an honor to go to the mats with you. See you again soon. OSS!!!
Thank you to my wife, Renee @raezancj and my kids Alexandra and Christian. Thank you to Prof Pete McHugh @mchugh_jiu_jitsu for being an awesome teacher and coach. Incredible gratitude to Coach Peter Lingesso , Coach Tony LasCola and Coach Al Robinson for all their tips and advice. And to All… ALL my bjj brothers and sisters who encouraged me to dig deep and grow.
Thank you Master Michael Dinoto and Erika Dinoto and all students and instructors at Dinoto karate Center for allowing me to take off from work. www.DinotoKarate.com
