The 4 Keys to Preparation

1. Prepare for the Journey. Preparation is the mark of a true professional. The top people in any given field spend more time preparing than the average person.
2. Guard against the worst. In achieving your personal goals, continually ask yourself “What are the worst possible things that could happen?” and then guard against them.
3. Assume the worst and plan for bad luck! Yes, that’s correct…plan for eventuality. As Napoleon Bonaparte responded when he was asked whether he believed in luck, “Yes, ….I believe in bad luck and I plan accordingly.”
4. Refuse to be passive. Be proactive in achieving your goals. Don’t wait for something to happen.
