You have One Thousand Four Hundred Forty Opportunities to create a Defining Moment Today
I was reminded once again, with the passing of a friend, that time is going by fast and my time on this Earth is short.
By God’s grace, I’ll have another another 40 years to live – maybe. That’s not very much time when you think about it.
I would like to be remembered as someone who made a difference. Every breathing minute is a gift. There are 1440 minutes in a day.
I have been given natural abilities and talents that are only average, if that. I have no edge over anyone else out there that will allow me to accomplish any more than anyone else. Even the power to believe that I will make a difference is not unique.
What is going to separate me from failure, is the work ethic and values that have been instilled in me. I have learned to work extremely hard at whatever it is i’m doing. I study the tangibles and intangibles of life and continually look for ways to grow as a man and as a member of the world community. Giving thanks for the blessings, as well as the curses helps.
I’ve learned to smile through the storms of life and do the best that I can with what I’ve been given. And that’s the best I can do.
Every single breathing moment of life, is a gift. I appreciate who I am and who I am becoming. I believe in my ability to learn and live a life of significance, in whatever I do.
And, whatever I do…I will do my best when I DO IT.
And I will Do (live) it one defining moment at a time.
Today I have One-Thousand-Four-Hundred-Forty Defining Moments.
