Last week, we talked about the Power of Self—
Self-Control.
Self-Discipline.
Self-Respect.
Self-Awareness.
And those lessons? They still stand. That work continues.
But this week… we go deeper.
Because there’s a truth I’ve learned over and over again—especially during the hardest moments of my life:
I was never meant to do all of this on my own.
And neither are you.
There is something greater than me.
Something that has carried me when I didn’t think I could take another step.
Something that spoke to me when I was lost and angry and full of shame.
Something I couldn’t always explain—but always felt.
Call it faith. Call it God. Call it the universe, divine wisdom, Creator, light—whatever speaks to your soul.
What matters is this:
There is more to you than what you can control.
And there’s more to this life than what you can see.
More Than Strength—Connection
True strength doesn’t come from just grinding harder or going it alone.
The strongest people I’ve known—including mentors, leaders, even my late mother—carried something inside of them that went beyond self.
It wasn’t always loud.
But it was anchored.
Even when life threw storms, they stood.
That’s what this week is about:
Exploring what you’re anchored to.
And what kind of power flows through you when you believe there’s something greater.
A Personal Note
For me, my faith has shifted and evolved over the last 30 years.
I still lean into biblical truths, but I’ve also learned to hold space for growth, questions, and mystery.
What I know for sure is this:
I’ve had moments—many, in fact—where I knew I wasn’t walking alone.
Where doors opened I couldn’t open on my own.
Where peace showed up when I should’ve felt nothing but chaos.
And that’s why I’m inviting you into this conversation—not about religion, but about connection.
About trust.
About your source.
Final Thoughts
The power of self is real.
But when it’s connected to something greater, it becomes unstoppable.
So today, I leave you with a simple question:
What gives your self its strength?
What’s bigger than you—but lives inside you?
Let’s explore that together.
Let’s keep Living Strong.
