Yesterday, while teaching our Little Champions Karate Program, I was asked to speak to a parent who had concerns about their 4 year old. Their child started our program 2 weeks ago and wondered why their child was not doing jumping jacks as well as some of the other children. Well, to be honest, we had about 10 kids on the floor training and only one was able to do the exercise with correct form. Anyway, these conversations almost always leads to the terms “gross motor” and “fine motor” skills.
