Austing shares about his first show: “My very first show was way back when I was in College at a Theme Park called “Carowinds” in Charlotte NC. We were making $150.00 a week and we were on cloud 9. It was there that I met my first entertainment family of which we are all still very close. Most of us decided to head to New York after graduation and to pursue a career in theater. Wow, New York City was scary, big, lots more talented people than I ever expected. I was now here, so I had to prove to myself I was as good as anyone else. Had many auditions and got many callbacks, finally 1st Equity contract was “Bugs Bunny Sports Spectacular”. Equity contracts pays well, wow. Now I am on my way. I am considered professional now. I am in a Union!!! It was and still the highlight of my career!!”
