Overcoming Obstacles Part 2

Peter Liciaga here with today’s episode of The Black Belt Strong Zone.

Kobe Bryant’s pursuit of greatness and desire to pass on the knowledge not only inspires me, but the entire world. My son and I discussed how one man made such an impact on the world.

Legends never die.

In this episode we are going to continue our conversation about not allowing obstacles stop us from reaching our goals and realizing a vision that we have.

Today I want to share the number one skill for a wise consideration when you are confronted with an obstacle.

and that is to STOP! STOP stands for
STOP
TAKE a step back and
OBSERVE your emotions and
PROCEED mindfully.

(Emotional Detachment is a superpower)

We are coming to the end of the first month of the new year and I’m thinking a lot about family, friendships and people I want to expand relationships with and not take time for granted. The #Kobe news hit me hard in that I know that the moment will come when I will consider what I did with the time I had. As I grow older I am learning more and more to adjust and recalibrate what I will spend my time on… Today, more then last week at this time, I am reminded that “it’s just a matter of time” and to “get what I want to get done done now…whatever it takes… do more now!

….

That’s why everything I do as a parent and a teacher at Dinoto Karate Center is because I believe that the world needs as many people as possible to stand up and do the best that they can to be the best role-model that they can be.

I believe that leading the way in discipline, courage and confidence in my family and my community is a responsibility that must be taken seriously.

That’s why I work so hard with Master Dinoto and our amazing instructors at Dinoto Karate Center to serve our students by creating a structured environment where parents and their children can grow and thrive and meet their goals for more focus, discipline, self-confidence and health.

If you want to join our family, visit dinotokarate.com or text me at 856-278-5282.

Thanks for spending this time with me…
