Hi everyone, this is peter liciaga your Mount Laurel martial arts guy with a midday brief
This week we are talking about RESPONSIBILITY
Being responsible is a sign of self-discipline. Responsibility is a sign of maturity.
If you want more privileges from your parents, your teachers or your employers, you must first demonstrate to them that you are responsible.
Remember responsibility is one of the cornerstones of success.
Once there were two boys named Jerry and Bart who both had the same teacher. This teacher always wrote the homework assignments on the board. Jerry knew that getting his homework assignments written down was the responsible thing to do. That way he didn’t forget to do something, because completing his homework was so important to him.
Now both of these boys really liked their recess, in fact, they thought it was the best part ofschool. Everyday, just before the first recess, Jerry would always take the time to copy the homework assignments from the board into his binder. Bart knew that he should do the same thing, but he liked to be the first in line for recess. What do you think Jerry would do if the bell rang before he had completely written down his assignments? What do you think Bart would do when the bell rang before he had completely written down his assignments? Who was more responsible? Which one of these children most likely got better grades? Which one of these children is more trustworthy? Which one of these children was more mature?
If you were a boss, which one would you want working for you?
Until next time, have a great day.
