Self-Defense and Crime Prevention For Small Businesses – Number One Tip

Self-Defense and Crime Prevention For Small Businesses

From Your Mount Laurel Martial Arts Guy, Peter Liciaga

My number one tip is to have two or more employees that are well trained, highly trained…With what? Awareness. Knowing what the signs are that so that when someone comes in (their business) to be a highly trained in awareness.

Employees, starting with the business owner, are highly trained at awareness and having the ability to assess and then having the ability to move to the right and appropriate action. See a customer come in and within seconds you meet and greet them. It might be a wave acknowledging them with a “Hello, I will be with you in a minute,” or coming up to them saying, “Hello, welcome to our business. My name is…How may I help you?” and that’s trained. And so within seconds you are aware, you assess and then you moved to action within seconds.

That’s my number one tip for creating safe environments and for crime prevention.
