Owner Pino Cusumano grew up in the restaurant business, learning lessons about hard work, family, hospitality, and taking care of the people who walk through your door. Those lessons eventually became part of Angelo’s—and more than three decades later, they’re still there.

The story of Angelo’s begins long before the restaurant opened its doors in Mount Laurel.
The Cusumano family’s roots trace back to Sicily, where the values of hard work, family, hospitality, and sharing a great meal were a way of life. Those traditions continued in Brooklyn, New York, where the family operated Riccardo’s beginning in 1968.
Pino grew up in that world. He served slices, made sandwiches, prepared Italian ice, worked alongside his family, and learned that running a restaurant was about more than serving food. It was about serving people.
At just 29 years old, Pino opened Angelo’s Larchmont Pizzeria and brought those family traditions to Mount Laurel. More than three decades later, they remain at the heart of the business.

What impressed me most about Angelo’s wasn’t simply the food. It was the heart behind the business.
Over the years, Angelo’s has quietly supported local schools, youth organizations, nonprofits, and community events throughout Mount Laurel. They’ve helped organizations raising money for important causes and built relationships with families that have lasted for years.
That spirit of service also extends to the people who serve our community and our country. Angelo’s offers a 20% discount to police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and members of the military as a simple way of saying thank you.

One Fourth of July, Angelo’s had already closed for the day when a family arrived hoping to order food. They hadn’t realized the kitchen was closed, and their young child became upset.
Pino could have simply explained that they were closed and sent them on their way.
Instead, he reopened the kitchen and prepared a meal for the family.
It wasn’t about making another sale. It was about taking care of someone.
Those are the moments that rarely make it into advertisements or reviews. But they’re often the moments people remember long after the meal is over.

At Angelo’s, Pino is surrounded by a team that has helped make the restaurant what it is today. Manager Jeanna, assistant manager Michelle, Sergio, and the rest of the staff work together every day to create the kind of place where customers feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.
