This morning at 3 a.m., I woke up with music, lyrics, and emotion heavy on my heart. Over the years, I’ve learned to pay attention to those moments. Inspiration has a way of knocking on the door in the quiet hours, and I’ve come to understand that when it does, I need to answer.
So instead of trying to fall back asleep, I got up, opened my journal, and began to write. What poured out was raw, unpolished, and vulnerable—exactly the kind of place where the deepest truths are found.
Five song ideas came to me, all rooted in Chapter 12 of my book, Living Strong: The Power of Defining Moments. That chapter, The Final Gift, is about legacy—not as something grand or distant, but as the everyday choices we leave behind in the lives of others.

The Meaning Behind the Song
Legacy of Love is not about being remembered for achievements, trophies, or applause. It’s about how people feel because of the way you lived. It’s about the traces of kindness, honesty, and love that ripple through the lives we touch.
This song carries my heart because it reminds me of what matters most: not the spotlight, but the small, consistent acts of showing up. It’s about apologizing when I need to, encouraging when I can, and leaving behind courage, joy, and hope.
When I wrote this, I didn’t filter or hold back. I put my emotions on the page, vulnerable and raw. The Spanish guitar melodies and Latin jazz fusion I imagined in the early hours gave the words rhythm and soul. Together, the music and lyrics felt like an offering—my way of saying, this is what I want my legacy to be.
It’s not perfection—it’s presence.
It’s not recognition—it’s love.
It’s not about me—it’s about the people I leave stronger.
That’s the legacy I want to give. That’s the legacy I call a gift.
