Day 14—Rest, Reflect, and Recharge
Good morning, Living Strong Warriors. 🌅 It’s Day 14—the final day of Week 2 in our Wakeup & Workout journey. Today, I want to take a moment to speak directly to you—those who have been the heart of this adventure, my greatest supporters and inspirers. This is more than a challenge; it’s a movement, a mindset, a way of life that we are building together. And today, we pause to rest and reflect.
The Living Strong Power of Rest
No alarms today—unless you need one. You’re welcome to sleep in. You’ve earned it. Rest isn’t just a break; it’s a vital part of the Living Strong journey. It’s where renewal happens, where we process, grow, and prepare for what’s next. These early mornings have been my golden hours—the time when I am most creative and empowered—but even I understand the necessity of rest. It’s not a sign of weakness. It’s a pillar of strength. Knowing when to pause is as essential as knowing when to push.
Today, I encourage you to lean into that rest. Let it be a reminder that Living Strong is about balance. It’s not go-go-go all the time. It’s about the ebb and flow of effort and recovery, motion and stillness.
How Did Week 2 Go for You?
Let’s take time to reflect deeply on the past week. Reflection isn’t about judgment; it’s about learning, growing, and evolving. Ask yourself:
- How did you feel waking up each morning?
- How was your energy throughout the day?
- Did you notice changes in your mood, focus, or outlook on life?
- What new patterns or habits are beginning to take root?
Yesterday, in our 12 PM adult karate class, I shared something that resonated with me deeply: Don’t Wait, Decide. It ties directly to the principle of “Base” we’ve been discussing—a strong, stable foundation for everything you do. Let me take you deeper into that thought.
The Power of Decision
The word “decide” comes from the Latin decidere, meaning “to cut off.” When you decide, you cut off distractions, excuses, and everything that doesn’t serve your vision. Decision-making isn’t just about choosing a path; it’s about eliminating the options that pull you away from your purpose.
As you reflect today, ask yourself: What am I ready to cut off to move closer to my goals? What patterns, habits, or thoughts no longer serve me? When you decide to let go of what holds you back, you free yourself to step fully into the next level of your journey.
To live strong is to be a warrior—not just on the mats, but in every aspect of life. It’s about being grounded in your base, focused in your purpose, and relentless in your commitment to evolve.
What’s Next?
Tomorrow, we kick off Week 3—the final stretch of this 21-day journey. For me, this week also marks the beginning of something even greater: the next phase of my evolution. I’m preparing for a 60-Day Living Strong Warrior’s Action Takers Initiative, and I can’t wait to share more about it with you. This is where we elevate, expand, and embrace what it truly means to live as a Living Strong Warrior.
