it’s my birthday!

Celebrating 63 Years of Living Strong: Reflections on a Life of Purpose and Passion

As I approach my 63rd birthday, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has brought me to this milestone in my life. It’s a journey marked by trials, triumphs, and above all, a steadfast commitment to live each day with purpose and passion.

Growing up in the streets of the Bronx, life was far from easy. But even in those challenging times, I held onto a belief that there was more to life than just survival. It was this belief that fueled my determination to carve out a better future for myself, and it’s a belief that continues to guide me to this day.

Today, as I look back on my life, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities I’ve been given and the people who have supported me along the way. From my loving family to my dear friends, from the students and families at our karate school to the broader community, I am endlessly grateful for the love, support, and encouragement that surrounds me.

One of the driving forces in my life has been my passion for empowering others to live strong – mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Whether it’s through my work as a senior master instructor at Action Karate Mt Laurel or through my children’s book series, “Living Strong Kids Adventures,” I am dedicated to helping others realize their full potential and live their best lives.

Each day, I strive to let those around me know that they are seen, heard, valued, and appreciated. Whether it’s a kind word of encouragement, a listening ear, or a helping hand, I believe that small gestures of kindness and compassion can make a world of difference in someone’s life.

As I celebrate 63 years of fighting the good fight, I am filled with a sense of awe and wonder at the amazing life I have been blessed to live. Every challenge, every setback, and every triumph has shaped me into the person I am today, and for that, I am grateful.

Looking ahead, I am excited to see what the future holds and what new lessons I will learn along the way. But no matter what lies ahead, one thing is certain – I will continue to live each day with purpose, passion, and a commitment to living strong.

So here’s to 63 years of growth, resilience, and living life to the fullest. May we all be inspired to embrace each day with open hearts and unwavering determination, knowing that the best is yet to come.
